“We feel that this agreement gives us an experienced voice in Albany to promote state legislation and regulations favorable to NAIFA members and consumers as they help New York families and businesses obtain financial security and prosperity,” said Robert Miller, a member of the NAIFA-New York executive transition team. “Along with NAIFA-New York members, who form a vital grassroots army, this agreement will ensure that our association remains in touch and influential with policymakers whose decisions can either help or hinder insurance and financial professionals and their clients.”

NAIFA is the only association for insurance and financial professionals with a strong a strong advocacy presence both at the federal level and in every state capital. This includes a solid history of advocating on behalf of agents and advisors and their clients in New York with the state legislature and New York State Department of Financial Services.

“Greenberg Traurig looks forward to working with NAIFA-New York’s leadership and membership to promote the interests of insurance and financial professionals as well as consumers in New York,” said Michael Murphy, a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s Albany office. “State laws and regulations have enormous impacts on the ability of consumers to work effectively with insurance and financial professionals. In our work with NAIFA-New York we will pursue legislative and regulatory policies on its behalf to help New Yorkers achieve their financial goals.”

(LICONY) to collaborate in 2021 and beyond on issues that are important to agents and advisors, the industry, and the consumers they serve. NAIFA also has a state-advocacy partnership with the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI).
